Christmas Day falls on the twenty-fifth of December. It is a very happy day for many boys and girls . Before the term ends in some schools , the children act a nativity or “birth” play, showing how Jesus was born in a stable.
On the twenty-fourth of December, all children are very excited. Usually they are sent to bed early so that their parents can get the presents ready. The younger children think that Father Christmas will come down the chimney or fireplace , so they hang up a sock for him to put presents in. The greedy ones even hang up a pillow-case or a sack to try to get more presents. Later that night, Father or Mother will put presents in the sock, and leave others at the side of the bed.
On Christmas morning, the children wake up very early. Some even turn on the light at two oclock, and most of them are awake by six oclock although it is not light in England for another hour or two at this time of the year.Children look for their presents , and the young ones play while the dinner is prepared. At about one oclock in the afternoon, the Christmas dinner is brought in . The turkey or chicken is quickly eaten . Children search in their Christmas pudding for new coins which are hidden in it . The rest of the day is full of games and eating until the happiest of all Christmas hollidays comes to an end.

时间过的真快，转眼间20xx年即将结束，新的一年即将开始。回顾一年来我们一同陪孩子们走过的历程，我们一起见证了孩子们一天天的成长与进步。
这一年来通过家长看课制度的执行以及家长意见调查问卷的反馈增加了与家长们更多的沟通，在与家长们的交流中，我不止一次听到家长说孩子喜欢上学英语了，孩子能开口说英语了，孩子更有自信了每每听到家长们的褒奖，我都感觉到肩上的责任更重了。诚然，也有很多家长给我们提出了不少触动心灵的建议与问题，比如家长反应“门口验收是不是在作秀”、很多家长反应“上课时段不合理，大厅混乱”、“服务响应速度太慢”、“楼下停车紧张”、“俱乐部活动参加不上”等等。家长们反应的.问题真的是我们前进的动力，家长无小事，我相信各位家长也看到了我们的改变：有关门口验收乱我们做了相应的调整，楼下会议室、阶梯教室的利用，11月份开始部分班级改为楼上的教室观摩；针对楼下停车的疏导我们新招聘了专职的交通协管，同时我们也与物业进行多次的协调，目的就是希望能够给我们的家长提供更多的便利，有些家长真的是非常的支持我们的工作甚至改为了骑着自行车或改乘公交车来接送孩子等等。在此我要感谢

很高兴值此年终岁首之际与大家共聚一堂，共同欢度圣诞节活动。
首先请允许我代表长颈鹿美语上海旗舰校全体员工向大家的光临表示诚挚的感谢，谢谢大家的积极参与大力支持。
此时此刻，我的心情有些激动，今天的活动是上海校成立以来第一次在校外场地举办。今天上午，就在这个场地我们刚刚举办过小托福颁奖典礼，有88位小朋友进入到全国的前三名，这次小托福考试一共有177名学生参加，通过率是99.5%，全国前三名占50%，这是一个值得欣喜与庆贺的成绩，看到孩子们站上了这个舞台荣耀的那一刻，我相信在场的每一个人都受到了鼓舞。勇于接受挑战，闪耀光荣时刻。我们希望孩子们不仅学到英语，更能通过精心策划的多元化活动与比赛增加自信力与领导力。
时间过的真快，转眼间20xx年即将结束，新的一年即将开始。回顾一年来我们一同陪孩子们走过的历程，我们一起见证了孩子们一天天的成长与进步。
回想起三月至四月份的卡拉OK比赛、六月至八月份的说故事比赛、九月份的中秋达人秀到十月份的万圣节活动等等，每一次活动都留下了精彩的记忆与感人的画面。我还记得卡拉OK比赛上，TONY与爸爸一起拉小提琴的场面;我还记得说故事比赛决赛中，NICOLA外公在台上那感人的话语;我也记得每次活动DINGDING都有会参加，这次圣诞节活动节目海选DINGDING也有参加，看到他能够勇敢的走上舞台，能够自信的表演，那一刻我和爸爸妈妈一样真的有说不出的喜悦与感动，这样的故事还有很多很多。
能够让孩子不仅仅学到英语，更能让孩子找到自信。可以说这就是我们举办这么多活动的初衷所在。
这一年来通过家长看课制度的执行以及家长意见调查问卷的反馈增加了与家长们更多的沟通，在与家长们的交流中，我不止一次听到家长说孩子喜欢上学英语了，孩子能开口说英语了，孩子更有自信了……每每听到家长们的褒奖，我都感觉到肩上的责任更重了。诚然，也有很多家长给我们提出了不少触动心灵的建议与问题，比如家长反应“门口验收是不是在作秀”、很多家长反应“上课时段不合理，大厅混乱”、“服务响应速度太慢”、“楼下停车紧张”、“俱乐部活动参加不上”等等。家长们反应的问题真的是我们前进的动力，家长无小事，我相信各位家长也看到了我们的改变：有关门口验收乱我们做了相应的调整，楼下会议室、阶梯教室的利用，11月份开始部分班级改为楼上的教室观摩;针对楼下停车的疏导我们新招聘了专职的交通协管，同时我们也与物业进行多次的协调，目的就是希望能够给我们的家长提供更多的便利，有些家长真的是非常的支持我们的工作甚至改为了骑着自行车或改乘公交车来接送孩子等等。在此我要感谢家长们对长颈鹿美语的支持与鼓励，谢谢您们。
新的一年，我们将更多的与家长沟通，我们会开办家长讲堂，一方面向各位家长传达长颈鹿美语特色的教育教学理念，另一方面也会请一些专家学者与各位家长分享教育心得;新的一年我们将围绕校务评鉴的要求深挖教学品质，还有我们将给还未充分参加过活动的孩子提供更多展示自我的机会;新的一年我们会更多的关注孩子的品格教育，让孩子不仅学到英语，还能懂得做人做事的道理;新的一年我们还将继续带领我们的师资走进陕西留坝县闸口石小学*心之旅，支援乡村教育，把长颈鹿美语最好的教育教学理念带进大山，让爱的种子生根发芽。

星河灿烂、圣诞祝福，亲爱的同学们，圣诞节快乐！
在我们对圣诞节进行介绍之前，让我们进行拼魔方游戏，请每组派两位同学上来将魔方还原。
今天是12月25日，也就是圣诞节了。
每年的12月25日，是基督教徒纪念耶稣诞生的日子，称为圣诞节。
从12月24日于翌年1月6日为圣诞节节期。节日期间，各国基督教徒都举行隆重的纪念仪式。圣诞节本来是基督教徒的节日，由于人们格外重视，它便成为一个全民性的节日，国家一年中最盛大的节日，可以和新年相提并论，类似我国过春节。
西方人以红、绿、白三色为圣诞色，圣诞节来临时家家户户都要用圣诞色来装饰。红色的有圣诞花和圣诞蜡烛。绿色的是圣诞树。它是圣诞节的主要装饰品，用砍伐来的杉、柏一类呈塔形的常青树装饰而成。上面悬挂着五颜六色的彩灯、礼物和纸花，还点燃着圣诞蜡烛。
红色与白色相映成趣的是圣诞老人，他是圣诞节活动中最受欢迎的人物。西方儿童在圣诞夜临睡之前，要在壁炉前或枕头旁放上一只袜子，等候圣诞老人在他们入睡后把礼物放在袜子内。在西方，扮演圣诞老人也是一种习俗。
“圣诞节”这个名称是“基督弥撒”的缩字。弥撒是教会的一种礼拜仪式。耶诞节是一个宗教节。我们把它当作耶苏的诞辰来庆祝，因而又名耶诞节。这一天，全世界所有的基督教会都举行特别的礼拜仪式。但是有很多圣诞节的欢庆活动和宗教并无半点关联。交换礼物，寄圣诞卡，这都使圣诞节成为一个普天同庆的日子。
大家知道圣诞树的由来吗？据说大约在十六世纪，德国人最先把长青的松柏枝拿到屋中去摆设，后来，德国传教士马丁路德把烛放在树林中的枞树枝上，然后点燃，使它看起来像是引导人们到伯利恒的星光，如同二千年前的东方三博士依照天上的星星找到耶稣一般。今日，人们已经改用小灯泡代替蜡烛。
还有一个关于圣诞树的传说，在很久以前，有一位农人，在圣诞节那天遇到一位穷苦的小孩，他热情地接待了孩子，这个小孩临走时折下根松枝插在地上，松枝立即变成一棵树，上面挂满了礼物，用来答谢农人的好意。
然而圣诞树真正出现在圣诞节，首先见于德国，之后又传入欧洲和美国，成为圣诞节不可或缺的装饰物。他们通常用五光十色的彩灯、蜡、礼物或天使来装圣诞树，尤其住在美国西北部的人们，因为当地丰富的森林资源，他们会全家人一起去挑选一棵真正的树做为圣诞树。圣诞树的种类繁多，有天然松柏圣诞树、也有人造圣诞树及白色圣诞树。每棵圣诞树上都挂满琳琅满目的.装饰品，但每棵树的顶端必定有一棵特大的星星，像征着那颗引导东方三博士找到耶稣的星星。而且在传统习俗上，只有家庭的一家之主才可以把这颗希望之星挂上，旁人是不可以越俎代庖的。
大家都对圣诞老公公耳熟能详吧？从前有一个老人，名叫尼古拉斯，他一生最爱帮助贫穷的人家。其中有一次他帮助三个贫穷的少后送他们三袋金子以逃过被卖的不幸。当尼古拉斯偷偷把其中一袋金子送给其中一名女子时，他把金子从其中一个窗户扔进去，恰好掉进景在壁上的一长袜中。于是，将礼物放在圣诞袜子的送礼方法家挨户地去要糖果哟！
据说*安夜的晚上，圣诞节老公公会驾着驯鹿雪橇满载着礼物准备送点这一年来表现很好的小朋友，他会悄悄地从烟囱爬进屋内，礼物塞在挂在床头的袜子里。所以孩子总会把一条条色彩缤纷的袜子挂在床头，并在袜子旁边放杯热牛奶给劳苦功高的圣诞老人解渴，并送份大礼给自己。隔一天每个小朋友都迫不及待地打开礼，想知道自己得到什么奖励。到了1822年，一位荷兰传教士把这位伟大慈善家的故事传到美国之后，美国商人更以特殊的行销手法，每年利用这个节日大张旗鼓地宣传广告，大赚一笔，在亚洲的日本及其它各国也群起效尤。因此装扮圣诞老人来庆祝圣诞节的风俗习惯也就渐渐地流行到世界各国了。

i think my dad was a hero for me when i was a young child. we"d go fishing, walks, and other fun things for a kid.

my father always stands in the center of my life，from past till now and possibly in the future.
