暑假，我读了一本《心灵鸡汤》，受益颇多。书中写了许多在成长中遇到的磨难和经历，写了许多感人的故事，更让我悟出了很多人生的道理。
我以前像是个温室里的花朵，所以养成了自信心不强的恶习，只要有问题就怀疑自己到底行不行，甚至有时候接受了任务还会退缩。自从我读了《心灵鸡汤》中的一篇名叫《逃难的国王》的文章后，我懂得了：无论是谁都不能轻易推卸责任，必须要去尝试，才能判断自己到底能不能行。如果敢于尝试，可能会做不到；但是，如果连尝试都不敢的话，那就一定做不到。
《逃难的国王》*王的军队溃散了，国王扮成牧羊人逃到了一个伐木人的家里，伐木人的太太让国王看着蛋糕，自己去挤牛奶，可她回来时却满屋都是黑烟，因为国王在看蛋糕时满脑子都是怎样重整军队。等到伐木人的太太骂他时，他才回过神来。
虽然是在骂国王，但国王意识到了自己的错误。择日，国王就重整了他的军队，打败了敌人。国王通过这件事，明白了任何人要是接受了一个责任，不管责任大小都应该切实的去完成。而我读完这个故事后，明白了一个伟大的事业，需要决心、能力、组织和责任感。
